Chickpea Chompers: Crunchy Roasted Bites for Kids
A fun snack kids can make, name, and nibble on! Perfect for lunchboxes, after-school, or a “build-your-own flavor” day.
Recipe
1½ cups cooked chickpeas
1 Tbsp olive oil
½ tsp sea salt
Optional spices (choose one or mix and match!):
Cinnamon + honey drizzle
Ranch seasoning
Taco spice
Garlic powder + parmesan
Maple + pumpkin pie spice
🔧 Instructions:
Drain & Rinse chickpeas if using canned. Pat them dry with a towel. Removing the skins is optional (kids love doing it—it’s like popping bubble wrap!).
Toss chickpeas in olive oil and seasoning of choice in a bowl.
Spread on a baking sheet in a single layer.
Bake at 400°F for 25–35 minutes, shaking halfway through. Bake longer for extra crunch!
